This was excercise in concepting, modeling, improving my boolean workflow and texturing. I basically tried shapes out while examining references. It was a long process with multiple iterations on every piece. It was a bit frustrating at times but also exciting and immersive. I had to keep in mind the complexity level due to time constraints and the daunting retopology process waiting around the corner. In the end, I had to leave the retopology process with a basic first round pass, as I wanted a clean and sort of painless bake. It's somewhere around 300 pieces and I honestly did not have the time to take it as far as I've done with other props in that regard. The texturing was so much fun and I really learned a lot from it. I took my time exploring online resources to expand my understanding of painter and materials in general. I am really pleased with the final result! I feel like it turned out much better than I expected and am really excited to do something in this vein, and perhaps more complicated soon! Thanks to all my classmates, friends, industry professionals and teachers for the amazing feedback!
